The above output was achieved via following inputs
Developed the school Vision & Mission
· Vision & Mission was developed in a participatory approach with all parties involvement
· Vision & mission were displaced on the front walls of the school to be notice by all
· Vision & mission were well made understood to the children, teachers, school admin staff, parents & community and encouraged to work towards achieving them
Establishment of School Libraries
· Each school was supported to establish a library with the community assistance
· At least one book from each student was contributed to these libraries
· The village base philanthropists helped procuring library books
· Used ITC approaches for broadening the knowledge of the children (Eg. TV, Video, Computer, CD, multimedia, Internet etc.) These items were donated by a number of village base small entrepreneurs as well as by the philanthropists.
The government Free Text books were delivered to children on time and school uniforms provided by the project
· Organized different mechanisms to deliver government free textbooks to the children on time
· The project provided free school uniforms, shows, school bags and other essentials to the children who were studying in the Catch Up Education programs
Established Child Centered Learning systems
· Teachers adopted Child Centered Learning after upgrading
. Teachers practiced “Active Learning methodologies” after providing training and the classrooms were arranged & organized in such a way to facilitate children's interaction during classroom activities
Focused was increased on the each and every child
· Teachers were trained on Child Friendly School System
· Teacher managed to know each child by name
· Teachers maintained a friendly approach with the children and parents after sensitizing
· No individual favoritism was encouraged
· Teachers utilized additional time for teaching the children
· Teachers organized “Little teacher’s support” for learning faltering students
Assessments & Student Tracking System
· Used education profiles to track the progress of children periodically and formulated appropriate measures to increase the learning practices
· Tracked learning faltering students & utilized appropriate measures to encourage children to learn
· Special education measures were arranged for leaning faltering students, by providing additional training to the teachers via In-Service Advisors.
