Safety and Protection were ensured in the classrooms and in the school premises by implementing the following activities
Light & ventilation
· Classrooms were arranged with adequate light & ventilation
· Sized furniture were arranged in the classrooms
Hazard-free classrooms
Hazard free classrooms were arranged through adopting following measures
. No sharp and pointed edges in classrooms or in school premises
· No hazardous material in classrooms allowed
· Repaired classroom roofs with community contribution an avoided rainwater falls in classrooms
· Protected classroom material from rainwater, dust and intruders (prevent cows, goats & dogs entering) by taking various measures
· Arrangements were made to maintain these conditions continuously
Regular maintenance of the school
· Classrooms and school premises were maintained in clean condition by formulating “Quality Circles”
· The Quality Circles took necessary measures to maintain the school ground in good conditions
. The Quality Circles were appreciated in School Assemblies and granted gifts
· School buildings and the infrastructure facilities were regularly maintained with the support of parents and community
Coordination with community
· Taken various initiatives to establish “Child Friendly Community” through awareness creation & coordination
· Coordinated with the local health authority and protected children against health issues
· Trained counselors and provided counseling for psycho-social issues of the children
Policies against discrimination
· Developed policies in schools against the discrimination on gender, culture, ethnicity, race, caste, occupation, and social status of the children
Open for children with special needs
· Teachers and children were well made aware of special needs children and play a supportive role in school to cater special needs children
No corporal punishment & bullying
· School develop policies against corporal punishments & bullying
